Money: more information

The UK Social Investment Forum (UKSIF) is the UK’s membership network for socially responsible investment (SRI). Its primary purpose is to promote and encourage the development and positive impact of SRI amongst UK based investors. UKSIF believes that all material social, environmental and ethical (SEE) issues should be integrated into standard investment practice and that individual investors should be able to reflect their values in their investments.

The New Economics Foundation (nef) is an independent ‘think and do’ tank, which believes in economics as if people and the planet mattered. They publish a range of research reports, including “Growth isn’t working: the uneven distribution of benefits and costs from economic growth”, released on Monday 23 January 2006, that shows that globalisation is failing the world’s poorest as their share of the benefits of growth plummet, and accelerating climate change hurts the poorest most.
